Surrealism

Surrealism is the irrational juxtaposition of images creating a larger image that looks unnatural or impossible.

This image by Mohanad Shuraideh is an image created by compiling several other images. It is surreal because it appears as if the lady is sewing the road with a sewing machine but that isn't possible. Also, the abnormal size of the lady in comparison to everything else in the image adds to its surreal effect.

This is an image by Daniel Forero and is another example of a surreal image because it appears as if the fish are swimming inside of the bubble gum, but that is not possible in real life.
