Shawn Mendes: 2 Different Perspectives

These two photos of the same singer, Shawn Mendes, are in fact very different. One (on top) serves the purpose of a beautiful shot that captures emotion and conveys a vision that the artist is trying to get across. Connor made the photo look mysterious by adding a grainy effect and editing certain parts of the photo. The picture looks almost washed out adding to the mysterious effect of the photo. The other (on the bottom) is meant to be a commercial photo, it shows a certain audience who this artist is, and in this specific photo, the clothes that Shawn Mendes is wearing is being advertised for the company Luis Vuitton. The second picture is not edited in an artistic way but rather enhanced to show off the better features of the subject's face. The image is clear and has a neutral background that draws the attention of the viewer to the subject.
